This was the vibe I got, too.
Poopsoda made a thread about a musician that he loved. He doesn't check the forums all that often, so I'd wager that when he came back and saw the Obituaries thread, it had already blown into full-on "joke" mode. From Poopsoda's point of view, it's disrespectful to Richard Wright and to anyone that's died.
If this is the case, and Poopsoda is truly offended? I'm all for blaming the thread. Basing it off simple precedent, remember "Pubic Hairs?" Almost everyone loved the thread, but one member was disgusted by it, so we got rid of it.
It's not a stretch of the imagination to think that somebody could be upset/offended by others making jokes about death. Sure, for a lot of us we've been desensitized to it, but that doesn't mean we can assume that everyone's as light-hearted when it comes to that subject matter.
However, if Poopsoda's grievance with the thread is that it's a stupid, pointless thread, that's certainly not grounds to axe it - what if the OTT was deleted solely because one member thought it was stupid? *cough*[spoiler:b9f55bd7f1]TBO[/spoiler:b9f55bd7f1]*cough*
I'm fairly sure that Poopsoda is offended, though, and so I'm with Blank on this one - baleet it.

Apparently the issue was, in fact, the disrespect. I confirmed this with Poopsoda and ran it by Fruity as well. What we're going to do is lock and graveyard the joke thread.
As this issue seems to be resolved now, I'm going to lock this one as well (feel free to send me a PM if you need to say something else on the matter).
