Why doesn't anyone play this anymore? I don't even understand how a person could get bored of this game.

I still play it. I just don't go online unless someone else is on.

Which isn't often.

I also recently discovered how cool of a character Sonic is. He's annoying, but really good.

The reasons why I hardly play Brawl these days*:

  • Super Paper Mario
  • Hoshigami Remix
  • Guitar Hero III
  • World of Warcraft
  • Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree (Lucca bought this yesterday, and it's actually really entertaining for being one of those "old people" games.)

* This post would probably have been better suited for the "Playing Recently" topic, but hey, you asked. Razz

EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot

Me and yosh busted out the smash last night - it'd been a while since we played. I was playing as squirtle and going squirtle squirtle!

Smash is always sweetest when you've been away for a few weeks. = D

Well, I know you would still play it since you're from Britain and you've only just gotten it. Also I'm going to be online at what would be 10 PM in Britain if you want to play then.

Yes. He's probably one of the best characters to play with items and in free-for-alls.

If only I had enough willpower to keep from playing it for even one day.

I lol'd in the general direction of your willpower, sir. Razz

I usually play for, like, half an hour a day. I'm just casually working on getting all the final smash trophies. Occasionally one of my roommates will join in and do coop all-star for two trophies.

I have 9,999 coins, but I can't be bothered with the coin launcher. It's so boring.

I like the coin launcher, but I hate its repetitiveness. I'll get the same 10 trophies 1000 times in a row, it's kinda gheyyYyYyyYY

I dunno, I get 4 or 5 new ones every time I play coin launcher.

But, then, I burn 500+ coins every time I play.

Reasons I wasn't recently playing Brawl:

- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2
- Band camp
- Out of town before that
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2

I played some tonight. Was fun.

Yeah, he's a good character, despite his voice and ATTITOOD. Only problem for me (I don't mind his speed - it's just a step up from Captain Falcon) is that most if not all of his attacks are short-range so you have to use items a lot.

Yeah, they all are. But since he's fast and has a good running attack it's nice and easy to dash along a grab an item before anyone else even gets near it.

I don't actually use items all that much with him. I prefer to do long combos using b-down and b-sideways and jumping and the various air attacks.

On another note, am I the only person who prefers to throw most items at people than use them? I even do this with guns, which probably isn't a smart move. I just find it really annoying when people abuse them.

I like to throw bats, but not beam swords. Guns I throw after I've used them up. The thing about bats is they have ridiculously high knockback when thrown, so it's usually the best option with them.

I see what you're saying with some items - the baseball bat, for example, is really hard to use in Brawl (which is how it should be - that bat was the bane of my life in Melee) so I just fling it at people several times. But Mr Saturn is just too cute to throw.

Hey hey hey! Mr. Saturn is useful. Mr. Saturn can break a shield in like 2 hits. Which is weird, because it doesn't do much damage when you don't shield. But still!

Yeah, but no-one shields against him because he's CRAP.

Mr. Saturn serves three purposes:

1. He can break shields if the person uses the shield reflexively, which probably happens often enough.
2. If you do hit someone with it, there's a nice momentary lull where the hanging question just seems to be "did you REALLY just hit me with that thing?" It's almost like an insult. Razz
3. He's FORKING Mr. Saturn. He could only be more awesome if he wore sunglasses and did barrel rolls.
