Quick rundown:
BTHive was created in 2000 by Mike. It was a Banjo-Tooie fansite, and it lasted to... what, 2002? Once it was shut down, he opened up a new site with the help of a few other people (including Dr Fruitcake, who ran the music section). This site was Koopa Village, and incorporated all of Nintendo, not just Banjo. This was, unfortunately, short-lived, and shut down probably not even a year later.
But with the recent announcement of Banjo-Kazooie 3, BTHive is back up and running, as you can tell. Naturally, a lot more happened involving these sites that we generally use as inside jokes (like the attack on Koopa Village, etc.) but this is a general outline. |
